About the event

Did you know recent Barna report reflects that 72% of Christians do not see how their faith interacts with their work. Kaleo Coaching's "Good Work" event is designed to gather people for the purpose of stirring them to the GOOD work you are called to throughout your community. Each attendee will gain clarity on their personal calldiscover how God is at work in their work, and be invited to build others up during this event. We are bringing in incredibly dynamic speakers with a high sense of God's kingdom at work through their own vocation (most of them are LOCAL).

What this includes:

  • Incredible day at Redemption Ranch to engage with followers of Jesus that are making kingdom impacts through their everyday jobs
  • Keynote storytelling from local business owners, entrepreneurs, and a Lt. Col in the US Marine Corps on how the Kingdom of God is advancing through their work
  • A catered lunch YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS (seriously... this could be the best part)
  • Practical takeaways to approach your actual job, or upcoming dream job

SPEAKER LIST:

Carissa Figgins - Four-time New York Times bestselling author and recognized as Fortune’s 40 under 40, Carissa Figgins is neither of those things. She has not been awarded a number of prizes and honors. However, she is the founder of The Sparrow’s Nest Maternity Home and the Executive Director of Community Strong, St. Charles County’s newest health initiative. As an experienced leadership and organizational development consultant, Carissa has worked across multiple industry sectors from small non-profits to governmental entities such as the CIA as well as small business entrepreneurs and corporate groups. Her core skill is inspiring communities to action through humor, hope, and social connectivity. When not stuttering through keynote presentations you will most likely find Carissa hugging trees on local trails while eating tater tots.

Dr. Dan Tripp - Dan is the "mouth" behind Good News Brewing. He is an elementary educator by trade and responsible for Brewpub management, marketing and communications. When he is not at the brewery he is chasing his 5 kids around, training & competing in triathlons, and spending time with his wife, Annie.

LtCol Mike Vincent - I read a satirical recruiting poster that said, “Join the Corps, See the World, Blow stuff Up!”  While blowing stuff up might help you win a particular fight, what I have learned after almost 18 years in the Marine Corps is that our allies and partners around the world  – our communities – have always been the key to winning a campaign or a war.  While I have participated in limited combat operations in two different theaters of war, I have participated in many more joint and combined exercises with foreign militaries around the world.  I joined the Marine Corps to make a positive impact in the world, one Marine at a time.  With each of my family’s 9 geographical moves, we have benefited from building community at each duty station.  Those separate communities are now tied together by the miracle of the internet, but also by the shared hardships and experiences that created closeness and interdependency.  We are successful when we create community, the kind of community that pools resources and talents to do good works.

Who this is for:

  • Someone who wants to help us build people up to the good work they're called to
  • Someone who struggles with peace or purpose in their job
  • Someone who has a job, but does not see how it relates to their faith
  • Someone who wants clarity on how to discover their calling in life
